Internal reporting office Whistleblower Protection Act

The Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG) came into force on July 2, 2023. This serves to protect natural persons who, in connection with their professional activities, have obtained information about violations of laws or provisions on fines and report or disclose these to the reporting offices provided for under this Act.

The HinSchG provides for two different reporting channels: internal reporting systems (within the group of companies) and external reporting systems (to an independent body). However, whistleblowers should give preference to reporting to an internal reporting office over reporting to external official reporting offices.

The companies of the HEMPEL Group attach great importance to ensuring that the rights and protective measures provided are granted to whistleblowers who point out grievances, violations of laws or rules within the organization and are also given the opportunity to report them. Whistleblowers are protected in their working environment and their reports are followed up accordingly. For this reason, HEMPEL offers three different signaling channels:
For all companies of the HEMPEL Group, the following email address hinweisgeberschutz@hem-net.de is provided as an internal reporting office in accordance with the Whistleblower Protection Act. In addition, it is also possible to place the notice in the specially designated letterbox at Siemensring 27 in 47877 Willich, or in person at Caroline Kösters, Siemensring 35 in 47877 Willich. Depending on the issue, we have an external ombudsperson who can be involved at any time.
