Gearbox: Gear ratio required
The operating principle of a gearbox is to translate the magnitude of the input in such a way that the downstream driven machine operates with the required output speed and torque. At the same time, forces from the working machine in question often have to be absorbed. The requirement for the repair is to know the prevailing forces in the process in order to enable a sustainable repair. Structural conditions at the technical location often play a role in the gearbox design.
