Electric motor service

You receive comprehensive support throughout the entire life cycle of an engine – from planning and procurement to assembly. Continuous diagnostics and targeted maintenance work identify and rectify potential problems at an early stage. HEMPEL offers a manufacturer-independent, comprehensive service with repairs on site or in our repair workshop.

Electric motors: more than just a question of efficiency

Every day, we are enthusiastic about industrial electric motors from a wide range of manufacturers, in various sizes, designs and, of course, different “vintages” in standard and special configurations. Although the basic principle is always the conversion of electrical energy into mechanical work in the form of speed and torque, we know electric motors in a wide variety of designs, sizes and technologies. The underlying physics is always the generation of magnetic fields for the mutual attraction and repulsion of stator and rotor. The motors differ in terms of the use of direct current versus three-phase current, the voltage to be applied (low, medium or high voltage), the power output, the consideration of any protection classes up to and including explosion protection, as well as add-on parts, permanently excited rotors or associated control elements and Frequency Inverters. This is what makes the world of electric motors so exciting and varied. Quite apart from the question that we naturally also address: How efficient can it be?
