The Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG) came into force on July 2, 2023. This serves to protect natural persons who, in connection with their professional activities, have obtained information about violations of laws or provisions on fines and report or disclose these to the reporting offices provided for under this Act.<\/p>\n
The HinSchG provides for two different reporting channels: internal reporting systems (within the group of companies) and external reporting systems (to an independent body). However, whistleblowers should give preference to reporting to an internal reporting office over reporting to external official reporting offices.<\/p>\n
